● Decaffeinated coffee is tasty when the coffee beans and the decaffeination method are outstanding. This coffee is grown by the cooperative APAS VAHU. They operate near the city of Chachapoyas, in the highlands of the Peruvian Amazon. Caffeine was eliminated by Descamax, the leading decaffeinating plant in Latin America. The decaffeinating process (Mountain Water Process) uses a water-based saturated solution that removes the caffeine while preserving the coffee's flavour compounds.
